Reverend Alice Anderman is now in her seventh year of ministry at First Congregational Church. She started 2007 with a three month sabbatical that focused on the arts, theology, and spirituality. During her sabbatical she spent one month at Ghost Ranch in Abiqui New Mexico studying pottery. She spent her third month planning an Arts and Ministry program for First Congregational Church. She now often plans worship services, retreats, workshops, and Bible Studies using the arts. Recently she wrote an article about First Congregational Churchs Arts Program for ARTS Magazine. She serves the larger church community as an adjunct faculty member teaching Arts in Ministry at Bangor Seminary, a docent at Colby Art Museum and a member of the Kennebec Association Church and Ministry Committee.. Locally she is involved in the Kennebec Valley Association and Clergy Group, the Kennebec Valley Behavioral Health, Eastern Maine Medical and Systems, Rotary, and Freshwater Arts.

Besides the ministry, Alice enjoys traveling, making wheel thrown pottery, gardening, collecting antiques and being a wife and parent.
