Administrative Assistant Nancy Flynn Email: Nancy Flynn, Church Secretary

Nancy Flynn, Church Administrative Assistant, grew up in Mansfield Massachusetts and was married in 1975. In November 1989 she moved to Waterville from Providence Rhode Island with her husband and three children. She has been very busy working for First Congregational Church since April of 1990.

Organist and Choir Director Annabeth French Email: Annabeth French, Organist, Choir Director

While growing up in Augusta, Maine, Mrs. French studied piano with Thomas French (now her husband) and organ with John Fay, Municipal Organist of Portland, Maine. In 1971 she received a Bachelor of Music degree from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, N.J. where she majored in organ with George Markey, Director of Guilmant School of Music in New York City and minored in voice. She has held church positions in most major denominations since age 15 and has sung with community choral societies as a member and as a soloist in New York and Chicago. As singer and accompanist for the Park Ridge Illinois Gilbert and Sullivan, she performed in their productions. At First Congregational Church, UCC, she plays organ, keyboard, or piano for the 8:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Sunday services and directs four of the five choirs: Handbell, Adult, Youth and Junior. She is also a Music Associate in Voice and Chapel Organist at Colby College as well as accompanist for its Music Department. Annabeth has done extensive accompanying for high school and community choral groups including musical theater.
